   Important Upcoming Election Information:

January 25, 2012 - Deadline for voters to file for disaffiliation, if necessary, with the local board of canvassers in the city or town where they are registered to vote in order to be eligible to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary on April 24, 2012(RIGL §17-9.1-24)

A voter is not entitled to vote in a party's primary if the voter is designated as a member of another party.  A voter who would like to disaffiliate from his or her current party designation in order to be eligible to vote for a different party in the April 24, 2012 Presidential Preference Primary must file his or her disaffiliation with the local board of canvassers of the city or town in which he or she is registered to vote on or before January 25, 2012.

March 3, 2012 - Deadline for unregistered voters to register to vote for the Town of Scituate Financial Town Meeting on April 3, 2012
 (March 3rd is a Saturday-
Board of Canvassers office is open from 1pm to 4pm for voter registration)

March 24, 2012 - Deadline for unregistered voters to register to vote for the Presidential Preference Primary on April 24, 2012.  
(March 24th is a Saturday - Board of Canvassers office is open from 1pm to 4pm for voter registration)

April 3, 2012 - Deadline for voters to apply for a mail ballot for the Presidential Preference Primary

April 3, 2012 - Town of Scituate Financial Town Meeting @ 8 pm - High School Auditorium

April 4, 2012 - Emergency mail ballot period begins for Presidential Preference Primary

April 23, 2012 - Deadline for voters to apply for an emergency mail ballot for the Presidential Preference Primary 

April 24, 2012 - Presidential Preference Primary - Polling locations as follows:

Voting Districts 1, 3 and 4 - Chopmist Hill Center, 1315 Chopmist Hill Road, Scituate

Voting Districts 2 and 5 - Potterville Fire Station, 953 Tunk Hill Road, Scituate

Polls open at 7 am and close at 8 pm
